In an emotional ceremony in which hundreds of young people celebrated with joy their academic, cultural and sporting achievements, last Wednesday July 18, 2018, the hundred and seventeenth Collation of Degrees of the Río Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico (RRP-UPR) took place.
Some 2,689 graduates marched in the act that took place at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum as the setting for a day in which 69 doctoral degrees, 1,940 baccalaureates, 478 master’s degrees and 14 post-baccalaureate and post-master certificates were awarded. Likewise, 188 degrees of Juris Doctor were awarded. Of the total of graduates from this campus (RRP-UPR), 55 received the distinction of Summa Cum Laude (3.96 to 4.00), 767 Magna Cum Laude (3.50 to 3.95) and 237 Cum Laude (3.33 to 3.49).
