C*-algebra and Cuntz semigroup, Wang, Kun, UPR, Rio Piedras, , 1 February, 2012, 10:00 a.m. A-207
Abstract
Recent examples due first to Rordam and later Toms have shown that there are simple, separable, and nuclear C*-algebras that can be distinguished by their Cuntz semigroups but not by the Elliott Invariant. So Cuntz semigroup has become popular and important for the research of the classification of C*-algebras. In my talk, I will introduce some basic definitions, examples and related properties.
